Write one affirmation, then repeat it 3× in the morning, 6× in the afternoon, and 9× at night. A simple daily structure — reframed through psychology, and finished by saying it out loud.
Why we like the 3/6/9 rhythm. The number itself is not magic, but a structured, repeated routine is a legitimately useful tool. Repeating a clear goal morning, midday, and night keeps it active in your attention — what psychologists call goal priming, which nudges your reticular activating system (the brain’s filter) to notice more cues that match your goal. We keep the ritual and drop the guarantees.

How it works
- 1
Write one clear affirmation
Choose a single goal and write it as one present-tense, first-person affirmation you can accept as at least partly believable.
- 2
Repeat it 3 times in the morning
First thing in the day, write or say your affirmation 3 times. Doing it early primes your attention — a form of goal priming that helps your brain notice cues that match your goal.
- 3
Repeat it 6 times in the afternoon
Midday, repeat the same affirmation 6 times. The repetition keeps the goal active in your working memory so it stays front-of-mind through the day.
- 4
Repeat it 9 times at night
Before bed, repeat it 9 times. Ending the day on your goal reinforces it as you wind down, and gives your attention a clear target for tomorrow.
- 5
Say it out loud and score your conviction
At least once a day, say your affirmation out loud instead of only writing it. Spoken words are remembered better than words read silently — say it in the Say After Me app to get a 0–10 conviction score on your delivery.
Don’t Just Write It — Say It Out Loud
Repetition works better when you speak it. Spoken words are remembered better than words read silently (77% vs 66%, the production effect). Say After Me listens as you say your affirmation, verifies you said it, and scores your conviction 0–10.
